Introduction
The first conversation I had with Steve, (my new boss) was just how important Graphic designers have Adobe After Effects as a skill - BEFORE - they leave university.
After discussions with the other designers at the company, we decided that a week of youtube tutorials and shadowing them (over screen share with zoom) would be really helpful to me and my career.
Tutorial
I followed this tutorial and took my time with it. Over 3 days I’d go back to the video and try and get myself more familiar with the software and the interface.
Conclusions
Overall I’m pretty happy with the progress I have made with After Effects, from being totally intimidated by the software to having a good understanding of how it works in a week.
